HERE’S WHAT WE OFFER

Website Features for Members Only

"Become a Fan"

Our "Become a Fan" feature is much like other community websites, where you can follow an individual user. When someone "Becomes a Fan" of you, a thumbnail image, name and link will appear in your "User Profile," as well as your "Public Profile." For those comedian members who have completed their comic profile, your "Fans" will appear there as well.

"Favorites"

When you "Favorite" something on our website, like a comedy column, news beat or an individual user, a small breakdown will appear in your "Favorite" section found on your "User Profile." These items that you "Favorite" will also appear in your "Public Profile," giving other users an opportunity to see what interests you on our website. It’s also a way for you to configure your "User Profile" to have the information that interest you available right after you log in. You can add and remove these "Favorites" at any time. When you "Favorite" a comedy column or news beat; a thumbnail of the story, title, author and post date and time will appear in your "Favorite" section. When you "Favorite" an individual user; a thumbnail of the user will appear as well as there name, 2 lines of their biography, and any events that they post.

"Event Posting" – Comedians, Club Managers, Agents, Managers, Industry Pros Only

This feature is found on your "User Profile" page, under the tab labeled "Tools." Each membership type receives its own set of tools (example: Comedian Tools). Posting an event is a great way to promote yourself or your talent. When you post an event, it will appear not only in our "Events Directory," but it will also appear in your "User Profile" and "Public Profile." For those comedian members that have created their comic profile, your event posts will be featured there as well.

"Comic Profiles" – Comedians Only

Comedian members are the only users that can create a "Comic Profile." The "Comic Profile" is a page devoted to a comedian and their career in comedy. The purpose is to provide information for both the "Fans" as well as industry professionals. We want these pages to work for comedian in an effort to get some paying gigs. We will be updating and moderating these pages on a regular basis. We also want this area to become a familiar place for industry professional to get the facts on every comedian in the country.

"Get Connected"

The purpose of most networking websites is to “Get Connected.” We also understand that not everyone wants to be connected. Are tools were developed with business in mind. When you make a connection with another user, you are given a new set of communication tools. These tools make it easier to stay in touch. Our “Career Tracker” tools are a key component to our “Get Connected” feature.

"Career Tracker" – Comedians, Agents, Managers, Club Managers, Industry Pros Only

The “Career Tracker” is a unique set of tools, that help the working comedian organize the data that revolves around the business of being a comedian. We think it is important for comedians who are serious about having a career, to begin to keep track of all the moves you make. The data we collect is information the industry is interested in. Basic things like the following: How long have you been performing comedy? How often do you perform? What clubs have you performed in? How much “A” material do you have? What is your set time? Are you a Host, Feature, or Headliner? Are you represented? What’s your pay rate? This information is vital and can be used to help you negotiate performance contracts and other opportunities. The “Career Tracker” also helps you create goals, and when you reach certain benchmarks, or system provides you with an update to your performance status. Comedians who utilize our “Career Tracker” will receive their Heavy Hitters Certification sooner than those comedians who chose not to use the service. This feature is by default set to private and is only made available to other once you have authorized it. You must be “Connected” to the user you wish to provide your “Career Tracking Data.”
